Planning Work Program
The North East Oklahoma Regional Transportation Planning Organization (NEORTPO) develops a Planning Work Program (PWP) each federal fiscal year to guide transportation planning activities in our seven-county region.
The PWP outlines how federal and local transportation planning funds will be used to support projects, data collection, community engagement, and long- and short-range transportation planning. It serves as a roadmap for local governments, transportation partners, and the public to understand NEORTPO’s priorities and planned work for the year.
Purpose of the Planning Work Program
The PWP is designed to:
Identify specific transportation planning projects and initiatives for the year.
Ensure compliance with federal and state transportation planning requirements.
Provide transparency in the use of federal and local funds.
Support the development of safe, efficient, and accessible transportation systems for all users.
Foster coordination among cities, counties, tribal governments, and transportation stakeholders.
